Scene interface

Learn all what can be done within a scene

The scene's interface is composed of top bar, left bar, right bar and editing space.

Top bar

To the left of the top bar you can upload 3D models or images by clicking the + icon, add basic shapes by clicking the cube icon, and add comments by clicking the comment bubble.

You can also click the RealityMAX logo to view keyboard shortcuts, change the scene's unit of measurement within Settings, toggle its grid on or off within View, visit the help center, and go back to the dashboard.

To the right of the top bar you can share the scene by clicking Share preview, take a screenshot by clicking the camera icon, invite team members by clicking the add user icon, and check the saving status of the scene by looking at the cloud icon.

Left bar

In the left bar, the Layers tab shows all the objects in the scene. There you can search, select and lock/unlock them. By right-clicking a layer you can duplicate, copy, paste, switch the axis, reset, group and delete the object.

The Library tab allows you to search and add premade assets and your uploads.

Right bar

The right bar is contextual. If no object is selected, it will show the "Environment" bar. There you can choose the color of the scene, use an HDRi, and add lights and effects such as bloom and reflections.

If an object is selected, it will show the "Properties" bar. There you can enter precise transformation values, and edit the materials of the object.

If the comment bubble is active, it will show the "Comments" bar.

Editing space

In the editing space you can click objects to move them around the scene, and rotate and resize them by using their gizmos. You can also right-click an object to duplicate, copy, paste, switch the axis, reset, group and delete it. At the bottom, you can rotate around the scene by moving the gizmo, view it from a specific axis by clicking its X, Y and Z buttons, and switch how it is viewed by clicking Perspective or Orthographic.
